How do i get a doctor's note if I don't have a doctor?

Surely for such a laudable reason there is a local doc who would provide a suitable note without charge? Where I live doctors do not charge for ordinary consultations anyway, but I don't know about where you live, I actually can not imagine a situation where ANYONE would be in the position of not having a doctor; better to let us know what country this odd situation is happening in, and how unscrupulous practices like selling body fluids, organs, etc can be tolerated in this day and age - it sounds so primitive.
