Can you play more than 1 instrument through 1 amp?

My amp only has one slot to plug a cable into. I only have one amp, but I want to be able to play guitar as well as sing through a microphone, so is there a splitter or something so I can plug the guitar and microphone into the amp and use them at the same time??
