Recording Audio and Video from TV to PC?

I have a VGA to RCA cable and I was wondering if I could get 3 splitters and plug them into my VGA to RCA cable and plug my Xbox into one and TV on the other. Now if I was to do that is there a program or something I can use for all that to work??
