Does extending an HDMI lead by about 15 meters (50 feet) loose quality down the line? (Will it get distorted?)?

We have Freesat HD in the living room down stairs and I recently bought a 1080p T.V. for my room. Freesat HD looks brilliant on the T.V. down stairs, however I don't want to pay �60-�100 for another Freesat box. I understand how to wire it all and output and inputs and splitters and extension leads and all that. I just wondered, due to my bedroom being the other side of the house (literally,) I would need to have an HDMI extension lead about 15 meters (50 feet,) would there be any quality loss?
